She asked the Branch presidents to make their membership aware of the survey and ask for participation. 7. The beverage fridge has been restocked by Jim Ludwig. Thanks Jim. 8. David asked for email addresses from the Branches to send a mailing every other Thursday listing all the activities in the Branches. Email addresses would only be used for the every other week email. Those Branches who are willing to participate should provide their lists to David Winner. 9. Triangle and Belmont Harbor will have a joint meeting on October 18. John Becvar and Jim Ludwig promoted the idea of a joint meeting. 10. If the by-laws are changed in October, the LVCC dues may change. How much should LVCC charge? David Winner thinks LVCC should charge something so that we can boast of our membership numbers when LVCC speaks before the city council. The current $4 dues to LVCC dates to the bylaws of 1985. There are now 600 paid members. Chad Monteith suggested charging more for people who want paper mail rather than email. Rich Streetman suggested $25 with discounts for students or seniors or limited means individuals. Bob Clarke moved and Bonnie Leracz seconded LVCC dues of $5. Jim Ludwig said that $5 makes sense because $10 to the Branch would then cover $5 for the Branch and $5 for LVCC. David Lake View Citizens’ Council Board of Directors Minutes, September 1, 2005 1 Winner indicated 60 to 70% of LVCC dues comes through the Branch structure. Branches indicated their dues structure.
