Dear Parents: An Early Childhood Screening will be conducted for children attending Rau and Brorson Schools. This screening is for age’s birth through 6 years of age and we encourage children entering kindergarten next fall to attend. The screening will be held at Rau School on Wednesday, March 30th, 2016 between the hours of 8:30 a.m. and 11:00 a.m. The purpose of the Early Childhood Screening is to identify those children between the ages of birth and 6 who may need educational, medical, and other types of assistance for problems that may not have been detected. Areas of development to be screened include vision, hearing, speech-language, fine motor skills, gross motor skills, and concepts. A team from Prairie View Special Services, Hi-Line Home Program, and the Richland County Health Department will also be available at this screening. If you have a child at home between the ages of birth and 6 and would like to have him/her included in the screening, please call Rau Elementary School at (406-482-8725) to arrange for an appointment. This screening is a public service provided at no cost by Rau and Brorson Schools. Please Note: When registering your child at the screening, please let them know if you are from the Rau or Brorson community, so that results from the screening can be sent to the appropriate people. Thank you. Cindy M. Hecker Clerk Rau Elementary School School District #21
