LUMSA-LM 59-BUSINESS ENGLISH:
SYLLABUS AND COURSE CONTENT
AA 2014/15, 2nd Semester, 40 hours, 6 CFU
Prof. Suzanne Eleanor McMillen
The course focuses on acquiring and improving vocabulary and skills to understand the practices, trends, management
styles and their evolution, the ethics of business (or their absence thereof) as well as historical and recent intercultural
economic practices. Particular attention will be paid to the global context and dynamics in which the world of business
and economics interact today. There will be both a written and oral exam. Students who pass the written part
successfully, (which is comprehensive of all chapters of the texts), must prepare, present and discuss a comprehensive,
clear and analytically thought out business plan for discussion in English.
