The conference aims to bring together scientists, educators, environmental managers and students from all over the CAR and nearby regions to address the conference’s 3-fold objectives: To share research and experiences in the conservation and restoration of various ecosystems To present, by way of the keynote and plenary sessions, strategies and efforts that have been effective and that can be adopted in other areas, and To present current issues that concern the protection, conservation, and the restoration of species, habitats and ecosystems within the CAR and nearby regions This year’s conference will have 4 parallel sessions that highlight conservation and restoration in 4 distinct ecosystem groups, namely: 1. Agricultural Ecosystem 2. Terrestrial Ecosystem (forest, mountain and grassland systems) 3. Inland Aquatic Ecosystems (lake, river, pond, as well as man-made freshwater systems) 4.
