Priorities ’ Main Research Areas Topic from the work program Acronym: HEALTH-2007-2.3.4-3: Large-scale integrating collaborative project Small or medium-scale focused research collaborative project SICA collaborative project Network of Excellence Coordination and Support Action Research for the benefit of SMEs Other (Marie Curie Actions, ERANET…) Targeted to SMEs Planned for submission FP7-HEALTH-2007-B HEALTH-2007-2.3.4-3: Bioprospecting for drug leads. Abstract Keywords The project includes Extraction, bioactivity guided fractionation, isolation and purification of natural products from Egyptian natural sources (terrestrial and marine). Followed by unambiguously structure elucidation. Finally retesting of the pure active compounds in order to confirm the biological activity of the isolated natural products. The biological Activity tests includes cytotoxic activity, antimicrobial activity, anti HIV.
