I joined Alemdar Co. after completing my obligatory military service (1968–1970). The company
was active in importing, marketing and representation. Then, in 1973 the company started
manufacturing oleo-chemicals for the first time in Turkey. The growth of the group continued in the
succeeding years and I have played an active role for thirty years until retirement in 2000, in the
establishment, organization and management of the following group companies:
 Alemdar Trading Co. (importing and marketing industrial raw materials)
 Alemdar Oleo-chemical Industries Co. (manufacturing and exporting of oleo-chemicals)
 Alemdar Private Port Facilities Co. (handling and storage of liquid and dry cargoes)

 Alemdar Edible Oils Co. (extraction, processing and exporting of edible oils, incl. olive oil)
