VIRTUS TRAINING
Any person needing to take the class on protecting God’s
Children and Adult Care is to please contact Sheri Felder
at (803) 319-0873. The workshop is for all persons
teaching religious Ed, Youth Minister & any other
ministries within the church that has contact with our
youth. All persons need to fully comply with this policy in
order to continue their ministries with our youth.
LINE DANCE CLASSES
KPC/Ladies Auxiliary Court #380 is sponsoring a line
dance class at the Cecil A. Tillis Family and Training
Center, 2111 Simpkins Lane, Columbia, 29204, on
Thursday, July 8 from 6-7:45pm. There is a cost of
$5.00 per person and must be paid by Wednesday, July
7 to attend. We cannot accept payment at the Center.
Please join the KPC/Ladies for the fellowship and healthy

CATHOLIC WOMEN’S GATHERING:
The Third National Gathering for Black Catholic Women will be held
from Aug. 13-15, 2010 at the Hilton Charlotte University Place,
Charlotte, NC. This gathering is sponsored by the National Black
Sisters’ Conference. Registration forms are on the table in the
gathering area. Please reserve your room at the Hilton as soon as
possible. The rooms are filling up fast. We are looking forward to a
wonderful conference with Catholic Women from around the U. S. We
want St. Martin de Porres Catholic Church to be there!!!. For more

HOME WORKS MISSION TRIP
Children and adult multi-vitamins are needed for Home
Works mission trips to Zorritos, Peru during the month of
July. The vitamins represent food to those in Peru. For

Bishop England 25th Class Reunion
Bishop England Class of 1985 will celebrate its 25th
Reunion this summer in Charleston, July 29 – August
1st. If you are a member of the class or know someone who
is, please share this information so that they may register
for the events we have planned. For more information,

all of you this summer.
Catholic Charities Medical Mission
Catholic Charities of the Diocese of Charleston needs
physicians, nurses, dentists and those fully fluent in Spanish
for our next Medical Mission to the parish of San Pedro
La Laguna, Guatemala. For 1 week, you along with other
healthcare practitioners from our diocese will serve the
needs of the poor. These mission trips are coordinated by
Catholic Charities of our diocese. If you would like more
information or are able to participate in our next mission
from October 16-23 and would like to complete an
application, please go to our website:

trip requires a minimum of 6 doctors. If you would like to
