ENTRY INFORMATION:
Entrant must be a current exhibitor of the Belleville Agricultural Society, fee: $5.00 Exhibitors may pick up
your prize money Sunday, August 31ST after the fair.
Competition is open to any cheese-maker in Canada. Cheese must be at grading temperature at time of
judging. All cheese may be wrapped in “Canada” or plain wrapper. Cheese in all classes may be
coloured or white. Exhibits may be placed on Wednesday August 28 TH from 6:00 to 8:00 p.m. and
Thursday August 28th from 8:00 to 10:00 a.m.
JUDGING will take place on Thursday August 28th, 2014 at 10:30 a.m.
Entries must REMAIN until 5:00 p.m. Sunday, August 31st
Only cheese judges allowed in grading room at time of judging
Only one entry per plant per section
PRIZES FOR SECTIONS 1-7: $25, $15, $10
(Can be 10lb or 40lb blocks)

May make: white or coloured cheddar.

June or July make: white or coloured cheddar.
SECTION 3
Mature Cheddar Cheese must be at least nine month old:
White or coloured.

Variety Cheese Class. May be Colby, Mozzarella, and Farmer’s or Brick: cheese to be packed in 5 lb.

p.m. and 6:00 p.m.

from 8:00a.m. to 10:00 a.m.

GARDEN PRODUCTS
Please enter vegetables into correct classes, as they will be judged according to the characteristics of the
specific class. Do not wash potatoes or squash. Use a wool cloth to clean the soil from the surface.
Onions must be dried and ready for storage. Peeling too much of the outer shell off will be discounted.
Pumpkins can be washed but not polished with wax or oils. Uniformity, Size and Trueness to Type and
condition gain the highest points on the judge’s card. Carrots must have 1” tops.All tomatoes must have

ENTRY INFORMATION:
1. All exhibitors must be current exhibitors of the Belleville Agricultural Society. The exhibitor fee is $5
for Adult Classes and $1 Junior (16 & under)
2. Completed entry forms must be taken in or mailed to Quinte Exhibition Office, 18 Yeoman Street,
Belleville, Ontario K8P 3X2 - preferably by August 28th. 2014.
3. Entries will be accepted from 6:00p.m. to 8:00p.m. Wednesday, Aug. 27th or Thursday, Aug. 28th,
from 8:00a.m. – 10:00a.m. Only one entry per class.
4. Entries are not to be removed before Sunday, Sept. 1 ST . If removed before, prize money will be
forfeited. Prize money and entry pickup is on Sept. 1ST from 5 - 6:00 p.m.
5. Dead or withered flowers will be removed at the discretion of the Committee. All flower exhibits must
be grown in exhibitor’s garden or home. Cactus are measured from top of dirt where they have
emerged from. Entries should be at uniform stage of development and be free of blemish, debris,
injury, spray residue, disease and insects.
