Quadrilateral Scavenger Hunt Quadrilaterals are used to form many objects that we see every day in our world. For this project, you will need to find at least one example of the quadrilaterals we have discussed in the real world (isosceles trapezoid, kite, parallelogram, rectangle, rhombus, square, and trapezoid). Step 1: Your Mission Find examples of each of the quadrilaterals listed above in the real world. You may use the internet or magazines to find pictures or you may take your own pictures as you see quadrilaterals around you. Decide whether to display your pictures on a poster or to create a booklet. Be sure to label each picture with the best name for the quadrilateral in the picture. Under each picture, list where you found it (name of website, name of magazine). If you took the picture yourself, indicate that the picture is yours (for example: picture taken by name). Briefly describe the attributes of the quadrilateral in each picture (consider what you know about the sides, angles, and diagonals). Step 2: Your Grade Check the rubric given on the back of this page to make sure that your poster/booklet meets all of the required criterion. Be prepared to share your project with your class on the day that it is due.
