General English 11 is a year-long period class. It is geared toward the general student.
The focus of this course will be on core English disciplines, which will include literature,
vocabulary, writing, speaking, listening, and research. More emphasis is placed on tests
and quizzes; however, homework will be an element of the course. Homework is graded
on completion and effort rather than on correctness. Two late assignments may be turned
in during a nine-week period, but the grade for those assignments will be a zero until
turned in. After that, full credit may be earned if the assignment is deemed worthy.
