Open access to health insurance through this program coincides with the open enrollment period of the
Federal Exchange at healthcare.gov, established by the Affordable Care Act. Open Enrollment for 2015
plans has ended but will start again in Fall 2015 for 2016 plans.
Missed open enrollment?
Employees with a qualifying life event are eligible for a Special Enrollment Period and may be able to get
coverage outside of open enrollment. Examples include getting married, relocating to an area with
different coverage options, losing job-based health coverage, or experiencing a change in your
household size or income. Special Enrollment Periods generally last 60 days from the qualifying life
