Poster Project
“How Big Is A Mole?” Poster. This full size poster should illustrate to your classmates just
how big a mole really is! It should be colorful, illustrative, descriptive, and informative.
Sample topic (make up your own): How long would it take the population of Earth to
consume a mole of Skittles if each person consumed 1 bag/day?
• The poster must be a minimum size of 24 x 18 (4 points)
• The title of the poster must be in the form of a question (4 points)
• The problem should be solved using dimensional analysis (4 points)
- The problem should be solved correctly (12 points)
• All units should be shown and correct (4 points) (use metric units!)
• All work should be shown (4 points)
• You should include art work related to your question (8 points)
- 3D artwork earns 2 bonus points
• You should include a list of resources on the front of the poster in MLA format (8 points)
• Your name, date turned in and class period should be on the front of the poster (4 point)
• The poster should be neat and organized (8 points)

You are a preeminent obstetrician and have delivered a baby mole!
You must fill out the birth certificate: (each item is worth 2 points)
1. Baby’s name
2. Mother’s name
3. Father’s name
4. Date of birth
5. Time of birth
6. Weight at birth
7. Place of birth
8. Doctor’s Name/Signature
9. Creative
10. Neat
You must build a mole using the mole pattern given in class. Use an old piece of clothing or go to a 99
cent store and buy a dish towel (KEEP IT CHEAP! Don’t use stretch fabrics!)
You can either sew or use fabric glue to create your mole. You must sew/glue on eyes/nose (You may
NOT draw on the eyes/nose). Your mole must be “dressed” or decorated to represent the famous person
you created (there must be a theme!) Your mole is worth 20 points.
