Course Description: Provides students with an overview of the concepts of
International Business. Students acquire an awareness of the effects of monetary
exchange, geography, Foreign Credit Insurance Corporation, trade duties and
restriction, sociological and political problems and other areas of involvement as
they affect international business.

General Course Competencies: Upon completion of this course the student
should be able to:
1. Understand the importance of a global workplace.
2. Explain trade barriers and restrictions.
3. Understand the different banking systems and currencies.
