Procedure
1. Wash your beakers to make sure that they are clean.
2. Fill one beaker with 200mL of water.
3. Mr. Mert will find one gram of the first substance using a triple-beam-balance
4. Pour the substance into the beaker filled with 200mL of water.
5. Stir or swirl for two minutes.
6. Observe the beaker and draw a diagram of what the mixture looks like .
7. Determine whether the mixture is a suspension or solution. If it’s a solution then identify the solute and solvent.
8. Pour the beaker and its contents into the sink and repeat steps 1-6 with the other substances.
