Parents of Seniors’ of North Fort Myers High School,
As your child’s senior year begins, it is time for you to decide whether or not you would like to purchase a
senior ad to go in the yearbook. Below are some common questions with answers that should help you in this
process.
How can I get one?
If you are interested in buying an ad, complete the attached contract and mail with your payment to:
Yearbook Staff - Mrs. Mirro
North Fort Myers High School
5000 Orange Grove Blvd.
North Ft. Myers, FL 33903
(check payable to North High School) also put your child’s name on check
What kind of pictures do I send?
You can send all types and sizes of pictures as we have the ability to shrink or enlarge pictures as long as they
fit into a large zip lock bag. Please do not send pictures that have been cut with scrap-booking scissors as they
do not scan well. Also, we suggest that you submit copies of the pictures you wish to be on your child’s senior
ad page. There is no guarantee that we can safely return your pictures back to you. Do not send in pictures
printed from a computer unless it is of photo quality. They usually turn out grainy and blurry, and that is how
they will turn out on the page.
Why are there limitations on the number of pictures I can send? Full page 22 / Half page 10 pictures.
Each ad has space for messages of varied lengths. You may specify the background color or pattern, and/or the
font type. If you don’t send a note with your specifications, then the staff members with choose for you. Also, if
you send more pictures than allowed, the yearbook staff will decide which pictures will be in the senior
ad. When is the deadline for purchasing an ad spot?
The first deadline will be December 6, 2013. The full page will be $100.00 and the half page will be $75.00
Checks, yearbook contract, text and pictures must all be submitted at the same time by the deadline in
order to secure a spot in the yearbook. The second deadline will be Jan. 16, 2014, and a full page will be
$150.00, and a half page will be $125.00. If any element of a page designated by the contract is not included,
the contract will not be accepted. Again, the text and pictures must be included with the check and contract.
How can I keep my senior from knowing about this ad? Only yearbook staff members work on the ad pages.
If there are questions, however, we ask the senior. If you would rather us ask you any questions, there is a place
to indicate that in the contract. When the yearbook comes out in May 2014, your senior will see their ad for the
first time.
If I have any questions, whom can I call?If you have any questions or concerns, please call the school and
leave me a message. I will return your call within 24-48 hours. Mrs. Mirro, yearbook advisor, 995-2117 or email
me at dianemir@leeschools.net
