basketball and softball. Advised and ran the Model United Nations Program; President Reagan’s
Education Secretary Bennett awarded my department a citation of excellence in social studies.

Assisted within the reference library and the rare book library. Answered questions from professors,
graduate students, undergraduates, and administrators on a wide range of topics with varying degrees
of complexity. Located appropriate books, articles, and dissertations using computer searches as well
as standard printed guides and indexes. Verified facts. Directed research of library users.
ASSOCIATE ADMISSIONS CHAIRMAN
Recruited students for the Graduate School of Arts and Science. Presented the programs of the seven
graduate schools to prospective graduate students at over 120 colleges and universities. Interviewed
and counseled prospective applicants. Reviewed transcripts. Promoted the programs of the university
to New York area corporations by on-site visits; authored promotional materials. Directed an office
staff of 22 people. Previewed films for the film library as Film Technician.
Additional experience includes serving as Chairman of the Department of Social Studies in St. Hilda’s
Upper School in New York City, instructing AP American History and ninth grade World History
(1983-1984), as Dormitory Director and Counselor , Young Harris College in Georgia (1982-1983), as
Instructor of World History at Dekalb Jr College, Clarkston GA and Essex County College, Newark
NJ.
