ACCA is the world’s largest body for professional accountants with 154,000 members and 432,000 students in over
170 countries, with a network of 83 offices and centres across the globe (www.accaglobal.com). The last examination
using HK accounting and audit standards is in Dec 2012. It is because HK Accounting and Audit standards
convergence with International standards which means separate examination is no longer required. Moreover,
ACCA is widely recognized in Mainland China and the rest of the world. Therefore, taking an ACCA Professional
Qualification can turn you into a truly Global Professional Accountant / CEO.

Objectives of the 17-ICIT
Specifically, the 17-ICIT will focus on how best practices in ISO portfolio of standards and TQM will affect
quality trends in the new economy. TQM provides an overall concept that fosters continuous improvement in
an organisation. The first objective of the conference is thus:
To provide a forum for the identification of contemporary development in the theories and practices
of TQM and for the sharing of experience.
The number of ISO certified companies has seen a phenomenal rise. The importance of the ISO series of
standards, and its close relationship with TQM give rise to the second objective:
To establish the impact of ISO Standards implementation on TQM towards Innovation,
Sustainability & Organization Development.
