Service Supply Chain Integrator For Value Creation In An On-Demand Context, a proposal
submitted to the IBM Integrated Supply Chain Research Consortium, December 2004. This
is a joint proposal between MSU and ASU faculty addressing the different functional aspects
and quality metrics involved in services needed to complete online retailing transactions. A
further objective is to assess the role that information technology plays in defining the
different parameters that support service quality in the completion of online retailing
transactions. ASU researchers are to conduct qualitative analyses of several firms, detailing
their IT/SC linkages and practices. MSU researchers will conduct a survey of customers of
each firm to examine how the IT/SC integration of each company translates to customer
satisfaction with fulfillment, quality, returns and overall experience.
Budget: $60,000 total, $30,000 MSU portion.
