Supply Talent Program
We are looking for talented Masters graduates from emerging market countries, with less
than 4 years Supply Management or Supply Chain Management experience, to undertake
an internationally-based self-driven training program that will prepare them for senior
Supply Management positions in their home-country.

Global Supply Management Traineeship
Our aim is to build local talent in key growth market areas in order to achieve our key
business targets for 2020 and beyond. That means accelerating your career through a twoyear training program, not by sitting you behind a desk but by putting you out there in the
business and putting you firmly in control of your own success.
Putting you in the lead
During the course of the program, you’ll undertake three to four challenging projects,
only one of which, the first one, will be defined by us.
The rest of the time it will be up to you to find projects that allow you to acquire the skill
set we demand, by ‘selling’ yourself into appropriate business units and taking your
projects through to a successful conclusion – projects with challenging objectives and
real ownership. You’ll do it on a global ‘no holds barred’ basis so that you can achieve
the performance heights that you aspire to.
To provide some useful advice and guidance, we’ll provide you with a mentor who has
close links to your home country’s market, plus we’ll provide you with an annual budget
to spend on personal and professional development. But after that it will be entirely up to
you to secure your projects and build the experience and skills set that we require. The
entire program is specifically designed to fast-track the development of entrepreneurial
talent. That’s why we put you in control.
We will, of course, also monitor your progress and achievements. You’ll get expert
feedback during and after each project and we’ll expect you to demonstrate a steep
learning curve. After you’ve finished the traineeship, we’ll make a final assessment on
your development and performance over the 2 years. If you pass, you will be offered a
senior position in the Philips Supply Management organization in your home country.
And because we’re committed to helping our employees reach the heights that they aspire
to, you’ll also be enrolled automatically into our global High Potential program.
Not for everyone
The Philips Global Supply Management Traineeship is certainly not for everyone. You
must, for example, be explicit in stating your intention to join the Philips organization in
your home country after the program. If you plan to stay abroad, don’t bother to apply.
The same applies if you’re not 100% sure about a career in Supply Management or if
you’re not prepared to make the necessary personal sacrifices.
We strongly believe that only people who are successful at making things happen on their
own are the type of people who can successfully lead our company into the future. So
that’s who we’re looking for.
Your profile
To apply for this program you need to have a Masters degree in a subject related to
supply management and no more than four years of full-time work experience. The
experience that you do have should preferably all be in Supply Management.
You will need to be globally mobile for the duration of the traineeship and be prepared to
remain mobile in your home country after the traineeship. We need people with a nativeperson’s understanding of local cultures and language as well as complete fluency in
English, both spoken and written.
During the selection procedure, we will be assessing you against our Leadership
