In lieu of make-up exams, only 2 of the 3 exams taken during the semester will count
towards the final grade. The lowest score will be dropped. The final exam will be cumulative
and mandatory.
There shall be no collusion whatsoever on examinations and homework assignments.
The Academic Honor Code is in effect and academic dishonesty will be dealt with in accordance
with the policies and procedures of the Honor Council.
The Instructors will be available for conferences by appointment, and students are
encouraged to make appointments whenever the need arises.
“Disability Accommodations”: Students needing academic accommodations for a
disability must first contact Ms. Rebecca Marin, Coordinator, Services for Students with
Disabilities (214-768-4557) to verify the disability and establish eligibility for accommodations.
They then schedule an appointment with the professor to make appropriate arrangements. (See
University Policy No. 2.4)
Religious Observance: Religiously observant students wishing to be absent on holidays
that require missing class should notify their professors in writing at the beginning of the
semester, and should discuss with the, in advance, acceptable ways of making up any work
missed because of the absence (See University Policy No. 1.9)
Excused absences for University Extracurricular Activities: Students participating in an
officially sanctioned, scheduled University extracurricular activity will be given the opportunity
to make up class assignments or other graded assignments with the instructor prior to any missed
scheduled examinations or other missed assignments for making up the work. (University
Undergraduate Catalogue)
