Adacel Reports Additional ATC Simulation and Support Orders
Company’s FY2009 Orders Now Exceed US$45M
Orlando, FL – May 11, 2009 – Adacel today announced that the company has been awarded
several additional contracts over the past two months for Air Traffic Control (ATC) simulation
training systems and support services valued at more than $5.75 Million. The Company’s new
order bookings for its current fiscal year ending June 2009 now exceed US$45 Million.
With these latest orders Adacel expands its market share in Europe and with United States
based College and ATC training institutions. Air Traffic Services of the Slovak Republic has
contracted Adacel to supply ATC tower and radar simulation systems to support their training
academy. Slovakia now joins training establishments in the Czech Republic, Italy, Austria, and
Hungary as European clients exercising simulation contracts with Adacel over the past year.
In the United States the number of Colleges and ATC Training Institutions initiating contracts
with Adacel in their current fiscal year grew to eleven. Broward College of Florida placed their
second order in less than a year and other new contracts included Advanced ATC in Valdosta,
Georgia; Arizona State University in Tempe, Arizona and Saint Louis University in St Louis,
Missouri. Adacel has previously supplied systems and support this year to L3 Communications
for their new Link ATC Academy in Denison, Texas as well as FAA certified schools at the
Community College of Baltimore County in Maryland, Daniel Webster College in New Hampshire,
Florida State College at Jacksonville, Middle Georgia College, Tulsa Community College in
Oklahoma, and the University of North Dakota. Adacel’s strong relationship with the United
States Air Force also continued with renewed service and support contract options exercised in
April.
Adacel’s ATC simulation systems permit the development of higher proficiency levels at an
earlier stage in controller training. They reduce considerably the work involved in the
preparation and conduct of training and can significantly decrease the qualification period and
associated costs for new controllers.
