Day 1: Fly Boston to Sacramento
Southwest currently has a flight that departs at 8 am from Boston and arrives in Sacramento at 1:00 PM
with a change of Planes in Midway.
Upon arrival in Sacramento your motorcoach will be waiting, on the way to hotel enjoy a tour of Sacramento.
Learn about the history of this capital city; see the State House and Governors Mansion. Discover how the
streets of Sacramento were raised more then a century ago creating a unique underground city and the
impotence of the river to the city. This afternoon we have a special treat for you with a wine paring dinner at
Downtown & Vine. This wine center brings wine country to Sacramento, bringing together local
wineries from six wine regions surrounding Sacramento, euro wines from France, Italy and Spain, a craft
brewery on tap with another dozen classic beer selections, and a fun and delicious menu offering special artisan
foods from the best California producers. The wineries represent the best of “farm to fork” (we like to say farm
to glass!) – local family owned growers and vintners, practicing sustainable and organic farming, creating wines
from this distinct place. Diner

Day 2: After a hearty breakfast we will head to the ( 1 hour drive) Napa Valley for tour and tasting of several
wineries. Napa Valley features more than 400 wineries and cultivates many different types of grapes including
Cabernet Sauvignon, Chardonnay, Merlot, Zinfandel, and other popular varietals. Napa Valley is visited by as
many as five million people each year, making it the second most popular tourist destination in California,
second only to Disneyland. Our first stop will be Domaine Carneros where your tour features “the art of
sparkling wine.” On this 75 minute tour you will visit the vineyards and cellars and will taste three sparkling
wines and two still wines. Next it is on to the Oxbow Public Market, At this market place you will fine
wonderful restaurants from Pizza to fine dining, artesian shops with delectable treats to purchase, surrounded by
tasting rooms with wines to sample. This afternoon we will travel a short distance to St Helena for a chocolate
and wine paring at the Flavor Bar of the Culinary Institute of America. Shop the Spice Island store for
culinary products. After your chocolate and wine tasting enjoy dinner prepared by students of the Culinary
Institute.

Day 3
This morning after a leisurely breakfast t we will board the Napa Valley Trolley for a tour of the Napa Valley,
on this tour you will visit four wineries and enjoy a Catered picnic lunch by Michael Chiarello’s Napa Style.
The wineries we select will give you a sample of the many different wines produced in the Napa Valley with
spectacular scenery along the way. You’ll see the living history of a unique region that survived prohibition and
dates back to the early 1800s. With 16 distinct microclimates throughout the valley, the distinguishing characteristics
of each area make the varieties of wine so flavorful—it’s a perfect blend of weather patterns, acid makeup, and soil
attributes unable to be reproduced anywhere else in the world.

Day 4
Travel from Napa Valley to San Francisco across the Golden Gate Bridge. Stops will be made to
photograph the Bridge. On arrival in San Francisco you will have a comprehensive tour of the city.
Including Golden Gate Park, Twin Peaks, Fisherman’s Wharf, Union Square, Chinatown, Lombard, and the
financial district. In the afternoon cruise and tour to Alcatraz. This evening we will end the tour with dinner on
Fisherman’s Wharf
