The call will be on the eastbound leg calling Valencia between Barcelona and Damietta. Cargo for Australia will be via Singapore with a transit time of 17 days to Singapore. The new Valencia call will commence from 30th August for dry and reefer cargo, import and export. A full range of service is provided for all types of containerised cargo. Free entry Passes for the Hong Kong International Wine Expo Through our association with Hong Kong Trade Developments Office, we are able to offer to you free passes for the Hong Kong International Wine Expo. The Expo is being held in Hong Kong Convention and Exhibition Centre from 14 to 18 August, 2008. If you have an interest in wine and would like to attend with free entry passes, please reply to this email with the subject ‘HK Wine Expo Free Pass’ We will send you the information on obtaining the passes. Qingdao Port Update Qingdao port remains open during the Olympic and Para-Olympic Games. However there will be times when the port is closed for special events and other times. This is decided by the harbourmaster and can be a short notice. There is ongoing congestion in Qingdao for ship berthing and cargo movements. There is a definite possibility of more port call omissions of Qingdao on our AEA2 service. If these should happen they will be advised locally to cargo interests. Peak Season Surcharge (PSS) South East Asia Customers are reminded that the Peak Season Surcharge for import cargo from South East Asia , Subcontinent and the Middle East has been recently announced. The PSS is US$250/20’ and US$500/40 effective from 25th August. The situation concerning North and East Asia is expected to be announced shortly. Change of Port Name in Iran Shahid Rajaee Port S.E.Z, Bandar Abbas, Persian Gulf” We would like to advise that there has been a new issue of the regulation regarding the requirements of Port Name for Bandar Abbas and Bushehr in Iran, as announced by Port and Marine Organization (PMO). With effect 22 July 2008, in all manifests, bill of ladings and L/C for shipments arriving and departing the two port mentioned above, the port of loading and port of discharge shall be worded as follows; (i) IR BSR/BND/PERSIAN GULF (ii) IR BUZ/PERSIAN GULF We are advised that the PMO will be lenient during the phase in period for the new name styling. .
