Dear Petitioner:
You were previously granted an injunction against the Respondent on the above captioned matter. That
injunction has now expired. Recently, the Court received a request from the Respondent in this case requesting the
return of firearms that he/she surrendered at the beginning of the case.
You have a right to file an objection to the return of the firearm(s) with the Court. Please state your objection in
writing within fifteen (15) days from the date of this letter. Some legal bases why the firearm(s) should not be
returned are:
1. An injunction is in effect against the Respondent in Wisconsin or any other state;
2. The Respondent has been found guilty of a felony in Wisconsin or any other state;
3. The Respondent been adjudicated delinquent for an act committed on or after April 21, 1994, that if
committed by an adult in this state would be a felony;
4. The Respondent has been found not guilty of a felony in this state by reason of mental disease or defect;
5. The Respondent has been found not guilty of or not responsible for a crime elsewhere that would be a felony
in this state by reason of insanity or mental disease, defect or illness;
6. The Respondent has been involuntarily committed for treatment and been prohibited from possessing a
firearm; and
7. Any other legal basis under state or federal law.
