Instructions
1. Research Projects – you must do a good literature search/ get primary data from
organisations and present examples and explanation in the Indian Context. Some of
the topics will definitely require a good primary study. Your Concept Paper - 1 page
font size 12 -1 ½ space, should reflect your broad understanding to the concept, how
you propose to study it, whether you will do any primary research, if so what, how
you will present it, sources of information etc.
Presentation Time: 15 minutes

2. Emotional Intelligence – what it is, why it is
important
3. Cost to Company – Understanding
Compensation (primary data needed)
4. Rightsizing in Indian Industry – cost and
benefit
5. Key Result Areas – used for measuring
performance
6. Managing Subordinates – tips for the first
time boss (this should not be preachy, but
should be based on real experiences and
real examples. DO NOT GIVE OVER
SIMPLE REMEDIES)

manager should know

Instructions for Company Project You are welcome to meet Course Instructor for
any clarification / directions you require. You can chose any topic, from the topics given.
Study the prevailing practices in the company in detail. You will have to visit the
Company at least twice. You should give real data on what managers and companies do, and
how they do it well, what lessons they have learnt from their past practice. NO Theory wanted
(max 1 or two slides)
Concept (5 marks)– 1 page font size 12, 1 ½ space– print out– Importance of the study,
how you will go about it, sources of primary data (you should have taken permission
from the company), list of books/journals etc you will refer to, questions you will ask (for
primary data), what sections / content your final report will have
Before visiting the company you should refresh yourself on the concept and make
improvements in your questions
