What Will My Child Do?
In this study, we are interested in the speech perception of children
who use cochlear implants and children with normal hearing. During
the visit, we will ask your child some questions and write down the
answers. Then, we will say a word and your child will point to a picture
that matches the word. Your child will hear some sounds (syllables)
over a loudspeaker and will be asked to say and point to a picture
representing the sound. Two to three visits will take about 1 hour
each. Visits will take place at the Vanderbilt Bill Wilkerson Center.
Visits: 2-3 approximately 1 hour sessions
