ENGAGE CUSTOMERS.
OPERATE EFFICIENTLY.
GROW REVENUE.
Traveling keeps getting simpler because now,
your customers have more control over how they
interact with you throughout their journey than
ever before. Today, travelers can buy their tickets
online, complete check-in and receive their
boarding pass from their mobile phone or a selfservice kiosk, navigate their way around complex
airports using interactive wayfinding terminals
and much more. They are choosing companies
that make travel easier. NCR can help.
NCR makes it easy to
give travelers what
they want.

NCR Common Use Self-Service check-in
solutions create a simple, seamless
experience for passengers.
John Wayne Airport
In 2011, John Wayne Airport (SNA) opened
their new Terminal C. This terminal has
48 Common Use Self-Service (CUSS) kiosks
from NCR and is one of the first airports in
the US to be completely CUSS. This means
that any passenger on any airline at the
terminal can check-in and print a boarding
pass from any kiosk.
SNA’s Airport Improvement Program
created additional terminal capacity
in the form of new aircraft gates, hold
rooms, concessions, passenger/baggage
screening capabilities, and more parking.
It also helped redistribute traffic between
Terminals A, B and C, thus achieving
a balanced operation throughout the
terminal complex. A key objective of
the Airport Improvement Program was
to ensure that the new facilities were
designed and developed in a way that
created a single, seamless environment
for passengers.
“Clearly from the industry’s
perspective, John Wayne
Airport’s plan for deploying
Common Use Passenger
Processing (CUPPS) standards
throughout the airport and being
the first airport to fully deploy
CUPPS is very exciting. Installing
a CUPPS solution ensures John
Wayne Airport to be at the
forefront of change.”

Use working Group (CUWG) Committee,

Dubai Airports
Dubai Airports, which owns and operates
Dubai International as well as Dubai
World Central (DWC), deployed NCR
Netkey Wayfinding to help passengers
more easily navigate their way around
both properties. The interactive
NCR Netkey Wayfinding solution
helps passengers locate gates, flight
information, retailers and concessions
throughout Dubai International’s three
terminals. It also allows interactive access
to other useful passenger information
such as local attractions. NCR will also
provide support services.
“Our vision is to be the world’s
leading airport company,
providing a superior experience
for our visitors by empowering
them to quickly and easily locate
desired points of interest within
the airport environment helps
to further differentiate our
service offering.”
Head of Service Development,
Dubai Airports,
Mazhar Butt
Dubai Airports selected NCR, over competitors due to cross-industry expertise in
deploying and supporting digital signage and wayfinding solutions worldwide. NCR’s
strong local presence and superior service capability in the Middle East was also a factor.
As the leading provider of ATMs to financial institutions in the United Arab Emirates, as
well as across the Middle East and Africa, NCR provides financial self-service solutions
used and trusted by residents, business travelers and tourists every day.

American Airlines
American partnered with NCR to help
deliver a seamless brand experience in the
check-in lobby. American’s check-in kiosks
incorporate the company’s new look and
feel, and reflect its contemporary aesthetics
with a sleek, all-in-one design that makes
check-in even easier for passengers by
enabling them to tag their own bag.
American looked to improve the customer
experience with self-service beyond
check-in as well by improving the
in-flight experience.
“Initial feedback from our customers
has been very positive. Investing in
innovative technology is a core part
of our strategy to place our
customers at the center of all.”
Managing director airport technology,
Jim Phoenix
Since deploying self-bag-tag, American has
been able to cut check-in times by 55% and
expects that number will increase with the
new integrated, intuitive design.
