Assignment:
Prepare a useful (and attractive) poster about your experiment. I will print the poster
on nice photo-paper. We will present the posters in a poster session in the MIST foyer, and
invite the entire department.
You will stand in front of your poster and describe the physics, experimental procedures, and results to anyone who is interested. Your poster will be graded on your
presentation of those thee things. Most important is the physics.
After the session, you will be allowed to keep your poster.
Due date:
I must have your poster by the end of class time on Monday, April 25 (one week from
today.) If you get it to me before 10:00 a.m. on Saturday, April 23, I will give you 5 bonus
points (out of 100).
Format:
I strongly prefer you use powerpoint. Otherwise, create a PDF file. The poster should
be arranged in one of the following ways:
• exactly 41 inches wide by approximately 25-30 inches tall.
• approximately 25-30 inches wide by exactly 41 inches tall.
When I say “approximately 25-30 inches” I mean something about that size. Too keep your
poster reasonable, this dimensions should not be much larger than 30 inches. Actually 30 is
OK, even 32, but certainly no bigger than that.
