Olivia Celedon, Shelby Hart and Alicia Marzloff took 1st place in the FBLA’s Business Plan competition. Elizabeth Anderson and Bridgett Powe took 2nd place in the Business Ethics category and Mary Thomas Hart won 3rd place in the Client Service competition. All are high school dual enrollment students at North Florida Community College and were enrolled in NFCC’s Principles of Management course this semester. “This is quite an accomplishment, and we are so proud of these students,” said Lisa Hancock, FBLA Advisor and Business & Technology Instructor at LHS. More than 3,000 student competitors attended the state conference held April 25-28 in Orlando The LHS/NFCC students winning 1st place and 2nd place honors – Celedon, Hart, Marzloff, Anderson and Powe – will advance and compete at the FBLA National Leadership Conference in Orlando June 28-July 1. FBLA is the largest student business organization in the country with over 250,000 members. Student FBLA members benefit from leadership training, networking, and opportunities to apply their classroom instruction in business practices and procedures to leadership development activities and competitive event experiences like those held at the state conference.
