The North West passage was a route between Europe and Asia people were looking for the northwest passage because what ever country who found it first would get great riches and spices. Next, he sailed north to the Arctic Ocean and failed to find the North west passage. The dutch paid for his third expedition and Henry spent a month exploring a river what is now New York and named it after his self and claimed entire place for the dutch .
