CENTENNIAL SCAVENGER HUNT
INSTRUCTIONS AND RULES
► Registration Deadline: Thursday, January 15, 2015, 4:30 PM
► Complete Team Registration
• City Hall, 55 SE 3rd AVE, Rm 100, 8 AM - 4:30 PM, M-F, 863.763.3372 x215,
lgamiotea@cityofokeechobee.com, or mjahner@cityofokeechobee.com
• Team Name, Team Captain and all contact information, including phone numbers and e-mails
• No more than 3 people per team (at least one team member must be 18 years of age or older)
► Participants are subject to all federal, state and local laws and regulations, including F.S. 119, and
further understand all information, data, photographs, comments, and posts are subject to the Public
Records Law
► By participating, entrants agree to these official rules and accept the decisions of the City of
Okeechobee Centennial Committee as final in all matters relating to your hunt
► Post hunting submittals to Facebook, Instagram or Twitter, must include, and must include:
• At least 2 team members
• Hashtag: #okeechobee100
• Location and/or activity being performed
• Logo Placard w/ team number
► Initial submission must be your team and the numbered logo received at registration to introduce
yourself to the judges
► Riddle/Clue will be sent via City of Okeechobee Centennial Facebook page:
https://www.facebook.com/OkeechobeeCentennial/info
• Riddles, clues and/or instructions for activity will be posted each day
• The clues will be posted each day but will not exceed 20 days so that no one can jump ahead
• Location will be marked with a fishing bobber (see picture) and
100 will be written on it. Do not remove the bobber from the
location!
► Hunt begins January 19 and ends June 4, 2015
► Winners:
• Will be the team with the most submissions that include all the

requirements stated previously (If there is a tie, the team with the highest quantity and
timely submissions will be the winners)
Will be announced at the Centennial Birthday Bash (June 13, 2015)
Will receive $100 per team member
Will be allowed to place an item per team member into the Centennial Time Capsule, per
capsule instructions
Each team member will receive an award from a City dignitary with the Centennial logo
and a photo with the dignitary for submission to all media, local and social

In registering for the City of Okeechobee Centennial Committee Scavenger Hunt team I/We accept and agree
to abide by the rules and regulations listed above. I/We also release and forever discharge to the City of
Okeechobee, the County of Okeechobee, their affiliations, officers, members, sponsors and employees from
any responsibility, personal liability, loss claims or damage arising out of or in connection with the City of
Okeechobee Centennial Scavenger Hunt. Further, I/We hereby grant full permission to the event organizers
and/or other agents authorized by them to use photographs, videotapes, recordings, or other records of this
event for legitimate reasons. I/We have read the above regulations and will abide by them.
