“Justice, justice shalt thou pursue ...”
With these words, the Biblical Moses begins his charge to those
magistrates and officials vested with the responsibility of administering
“righteous justice.”
But justice—the impartial administration of conflicting claims or the
assignment of merited rewards or punishments is an abstract concept,
one shaped by circumstances and manifested in a wide variety of forms.
