Cover Letter: September 20, 2015 Mr. Tony Wyllie Washington Redskins 21300 Redskin Park Drive Ashburn, VA 20147 Dear Mr. Wyllie, I am writing to apply for the Washington Redskins Marketing internship. I am currently a senior at Washington State University, majoring in Sport Management. I am very interested in this internship opportunity and see this as a great way to utilize my skillset to benefit your team. Having a strong work ethic and being dependable is something I pride myself on. In high school I started working at JCPenney as a sales associate. I continued to work at JCPenney during the summers of my freshman and sophomore year in college. After four years as a sales associate I was promoted to leader of the sales floor. Responsibilities included; managing the other sales associates, motivating coworkers, and problem solving with customers. At WSU I was a Resident Advisor. I mentored freshman, managed a floor budget, and created impactful events for the 200 residents living in the hall. I also worked at the WSU athletic ticket office as an event worker. As an event worker the main focus was to provide excellent customer services to fans. After one year I received a promotion and became an office worker because of my strong work ethic and customer service skills. I know that lives can be changed through football. The Washington Redskins organization proves that by continually impacting their community daily. I would like to be a part of that experience. My passion for helping others and football makes me a great fit for this position. I look forward to hearing from you Mr. Wyllie. Thank you for your consideration. Sincerely, Jeff Girmus
