Man In this type of conflict, a protagonist capable of humanlevel thought is struggling against an antagonist capable of humanlevel thought. In the real world, only people can have man v. man conflicts; in fiction, we can create lots of humansmart characters and creatures that are not human. ● My definition : A man vs. man is one human or creature fighting ( it can be physical or mot fiscal) another man or creature. Man vs. Nature: Internet definition : Man v. Nature In this type of conflict, a protagonist capable of humanlevel thought is struggling to overcome an antagonist NOT capable of humanlevel thought. This includes things one might not normally think of as being "natural," including reallife robots and computers (which can only do what they are programmed and do not "think"), cars, houses, etc. ● My definition:Man vs. nature is man out in the wild and nature is fighting not verbal but physically and violently. Man vs. Self: Internets definition : Man v. Self In this type of conflict, an intelligent creature has a choice to make. In real life, people constantly have minor man v. self conflicts (What should I eat for breakfast? Should I wear a blue shirt or a tan shirt? Should I pay attention or doodle in my notebook?), but in a story, these conflicts are about much more important matters. ● My Definition: Man vs. Self is man fighting him self in the mind of physically. Man vs. society: Internet’s definition :Man Vs. Society (laws, rules, guidelines) The leading character struggles against ideas, practices, or customs of other people ● My definition : Man vs society is himself fighting what society thinks about him Salma ,Benitez 03/03/15 mr.mendoza tech 2 the first three are this site. http://www.holmdel.k12.nj.us/schools/satz/eng_dept/Elements%20of%20Literature/Plot/co nflict.htm
