FCMH: The Pulse FCMH: The Pulse is a publication of the Marketing Department October 2015 We serve the community by providing patient centered care. To be the best rural community hospital. Patients First Teamwork Continuous Improvement FCMH Board of Trustees From the FCMH Board of Trustees The FCMH Board of Trustees congratulates the Foundation Board on the opening of the Women’s Wellness Center. This is a huge accomplishment that has taken months of work and tremendous fundraising efforts. When some thought the project was too large to tackle, members of the Foundation board pitched in and not only proved the naysayers wrong but went above and beyond any goal setting time and financial targets. This is a perfect example of what can be accomplished by a team of individuals who are all pulling in the same direction. The group of fifteen individuals that comprise the Foundation board, include: Pam Langley-Pittel, Roger Kirkpatrick, Norma Kirby, Vanessa Blevins, Ronald Ratliff, Ronald Amore, Kathy Dean, Nick Epifano, Robert Herron, Shannon Jacobs, William Junk, Shirley Pettit, Daniel Roberts, Dr. Sarah Thompson and Chelsie Hornsby. The board has kept the interests and needs of the community as their focus and will continue to do so as they diligently work to support the quality services of FCMH. The mission statement of the foundation states, “Forging the future of Fayette County Memorial Hospital by increasing awareness of needs and raising funds.” However, it is their purpose statement that really hits home, “The Fayette County Memorial Hospital Foundation is to be a bridge between the community and FCMH to encourage and nurture community involvement that supports and benefits the hospital and its constituency.” Congratulations to the Foundation board on this giant step up your ladder of purpose. The new Women’s Wellness Center at FCMH is forging the future.
