Section 1 – What is Salvation?
1. What Is Salvation
Salvation comes from the Greek word, “soteria,” which means deliverance, rescue, safety, and
health.
To be saved comes from the Greek word “sozo” which means to save, deliver or protect … to be
made whole (health, prosperity and peace of mind).
Salvation is a free gift available to all who repent (change their attitude and direction toward sin), and
believe, confess and receive Jesus as Savior and Lord
Section 2 – How Do I Get Saved?
2. Why You Need Salvation
a. Romans 3:23
For all have sinned, and come short of the glory of God;
b. Romans 6:23
For the wages of sin is death; but the gift of God is eternal life through Jesus Christ our Lord.
3. God Loves You (And Has Done His Part)
a. John 3:16
For God so loved the world, that he gave his only begotten Son, that whosoever believeth in him
should not perish, but have everlasting life.

4. Salvation is a Free Gift of God (Again, God Has Done His Part)
a. Ephesians 2:8-9
For by grace are ye saved through faith; and that not of yourselves: it is the gift of God:
Not of works, lest any man should boast.

Jesus saith unto him, I am the way, the truth, and the life: no man cometh unto the Father, but by

6. How You Can Be Saved

i. Repent – change your mind about the way you’ve been living.
ii. Believe in Jesus – that He died for you to save you from your sins.
iii. Confess Jesus as your Lord and Savior.
iv. Receive Jesus as your Lord and Savior.

7. Prayer For Salvation
a. Pray this prayer.
b. Believing from your heart.
Dear God,
I need to be born again; I need a Savior; I need Jesus.
I turn from sin, and I turn to you.
I believe in my heart that you raised Jesus from the dead for my sins.
And I ask Jesus now to come into my heart and be the Lord of my life.
I receive you now, Jesus, as the Lord of my life.
And I confess with my mouth that Jesus is Lord.
Thank-you for my salvation.
Amen

Satan, get out of my life. You are no longer my Lord.
Jesus is now my Lord and Him only will I serve.
