Allowable number of units
Exchange students are allowed to take a minimum of 12 units
and a maximum of 18 units. Usually, each subject has 3
American credits or 6 ECTS.
Courses restrictions
Undergraduate exchange students are NOT allowed to take
graduate-level courses.
Graduate exchange students are allowed to take
undergraduate-level courses.
Credit and Grading System
One subject usually has a 3-credit unit. One unit of credit is
one hour lecture/recitation or two to four hours of laboratory
each week for the period of a complete semester.

= Very Good (87 – 91)

= Good (83 – 86)
C+
= Satisfactory (79 – 82)

= Suffcient (75 – 78)

Academic Transcripts of exchange
students
Transcript of records (TOR) will be available a week after the
exchange period. Original copy of the student’s official TOR
will be sent to the student’s home university through express
airmail. Scanned copy of TOR will be sent to student’s and
university coordinator’s e-mail.
Students can request extra copies of TOR at a certain fee,
such request should be e-mailed directly to
registrar@admu.edu.ph

Preparatory English Language
Course for Incoming Students
Students who need preparatory courses in English may join
the Intensive English Language Program (130 hrs) offered by
Ateneo Language Learning Center (ALLC) for a fee of
US$ 600/module.
Module 2: March 5 to April 13, 2012 (130 hrs)
Module 3: April 30 to June 8, 2012 (130 hrs)

Special Study Permit and Visa Information
Visa and Special Study Permit (SSP)
Information
All international exchange students are advised to secure
tourist visa which will be renewed regularly with a special
assistance from the OIR.
All international exchange students are REQUIRED to secure
Special Study Permit (SSP) throughout the duration of the
exchange program at the Ateneo de Manila University. SSP is
an essential requirement prior to the class enrolment.

NOTE: Failure to submit these forms would mean that the
student has already acquired a pre-arranged arrival pick-up
and permanent housing accommodation.
Arrival guide will be sent in a separate sheet, with maps.
If you want to be picked –up at the Ninoy Aquino
International Airport (NAIA), OIR will reserve you car rental on
your way to on-campus dormitory or off-campus housing.
