David Mark Named Marketing & Sponsorship Director of International Market Place Waikiki’s newest shopping center to open on August 25, 2016 HONOLULU, Hawaii, Oct. 1, 2015 – David Mark has been named marketing & sponsorship director of International Market Place, the upscale shopping and entertainment destination under construction in the heart of Waikiki. In his role, Mark will be responsible for marketing and tourism programs, community relations and special events. The center will open on August 25, 2016. Mark brings more than 15 years of marketing experience on Oahu to his new position. He joined International Market Place from Island Air where he served as senior manager of marketing and digital media and was responsible for launching the company’s recent re-branding. Prior to that, he worked in various positions within marketing and advertising for American Savings Bank, Roberts Hawaii, and Oahu Publishing. He holds a bachelor of arts from Hawaii Pacific University with majors in public relations and advertising, and an associate’s degree in marketing from Kapiolani Community College. “Having spent many years living and working in Waikiki, I’m excited to be a part of the transformation of International Market Place,” said Mark. “I look forward to unveiling this incredible shopping center to visitors and kama’aina alike.” Developed by Taubman and CoastWood in conjunction with Queen Emma Land Company, International Market Place will feature approximately 75 retailers and the island’s first Saks Fifth Avenue.
