
Accredited Sports and Exercise Physiologist; worked at the National Institute of Sports,
Patiala for 14 years (from 1992-2006). Head of the Department of Sports & Exercise Physiology
from June 1996 to June 1997 and October 2002 to May 2006.

Conducted more than fifteen thousand „cardiopulmonary exercise testing‟ body composition
analysis, nutritional assessment of elite Indian athletes and others, including formulation of
individualized exercise prescriptions and body weight management of elite Indian athletes and
others and provided complete physiological backup to the national athletes.

Core group member of scientific committee to provide scientific backup and support to probable
athletes of Asian Games, Commonwealth Games and Olympics.
Sports & Exercise Psychophysiology


Attended a one-month training programme on Sports Psychophysiology at the University of
Southern Queensland, Toowoomba, Australia from 5th May to 3rd June 1999. Also trained at the
Australian Institute of Sports, Canberra, Australia, during this period, under Professor Gershon
Tenenbaum, the then Secretary General, International Association of Sports Psychologists; coauthored four scientific papers in the area of Sports & Exercise Psychophysiology.
Stress & Lifestyle Management

Independently conducted several five-day Management Development Programs (MDP) on Fitness,
Stress and Lifestyle Management in October 2007 and May 2008 at NITIE, Mumbai.

Supervising two doctoral level research projects on the effects of stress on human health.

Nutrition, Health and Fitness

Providing tailor-made individualized exercise, fitness programmes and nutritional support and acting
