The Stanford Initiative for the Study of
Supply Chain Responsibility (SISSCR)
SISSCR is a consortium of organizations dedicated to examining the relationship between
responsible supply chain practices and supply chain performance. Understanding this
relationship will strengthen the case for integrating responsible practices within traditional supply
chain management.
Research Focus
Supply chain responsibility involves issues as broad as
workforce management, environmental sustainability,
intellectual property protection, and financial integrity;
the first phase of research identified leading social,

In the second phase, SISCCR researchers will use a
maturity framework to assess the relationship between
responsible supply chain practices and business
