The Stanford Initiative for the Study of Supply Chain Responsibility (SISSCR) SISSCR is a consortium of organizations dedicated to examining the relationship between responsible supply chain practices and supply chain performance. Understanding this relationship will strengthen the case for integrating responsible practices within traditional supply chain management. Research Focus Supply chain responsibility involves issues as broad as workforce management, environmental sustainability, intellectual property protection, and financial integrity; the first phase of research identified leading social, At the Stanford Graduate School of Business environmental, and ethical practices. In the second phase, SISCCR researchers will use a maturity framework to assess the relationship between responsible supply chain practices and business performance. We partner with academic, corporate, and nonprofit organizations to identify, research, develop, and disseminate supply chain best practices at the Stanford Global Supply Chain Management Forum Partners SISSCR’s initial work has been generously funded by gifts from Microsoft, CREATe.org, Cisco, PwC, Intel, Ryder, and EMC and supported by research partner MIT Academic Excellence SISSCR benefits from the participation of Professors Hau Lee and Joshua Cohen of Stanford University and Professor Richard Locke of MIT.
