Desired outcome: To announce the arrival of Avatar land into Disney’s Florida Animal
Kingdom Park.
Walt Disney had a dream to bring his idea of a fantasyland to the real world. He
wanted his guests to escape from reality, if just for a short time, and be happy in this land
of magic and wonder. What started as a dream grew into a reality with the opening of
Disney’s first theme park, Disneyland. Since that day Disney has been responsible for the
opening of ten other parks around the world. Each of these parks transports their guests
into a world that is only read about in books.
The Disney Company prides itself on being the most effective at bringing the land
of fantasy to life. We have made dozens of characters jump off of the pages continuing to
create these fantastic larger than life experiences. It is our pleasure to announce that we
will be adding another land to Disney’s Animal Kingdom Park in Florida. It will be
devoted to Disney’s movie “Avatar”, written by James Cameron. This park is not
scheduled to open until 2017, but we at Disney are working countless hours to perfect
every little detail of this newly created land. This land will be directed towards children
and adults who enjoyed watching the movie and viewing the groundbreaking graphics.
Everyone will find something to love about this new interactive land.
We at Disney are very proud of our plans to create this magical land of “Avatar”.
We have decided to work together with James Cameron to ensure that every aspect of our
park is accurate and true to the movie and vision of “Avatar”. This park will allow guests
to walk into the magical land of Pandora and experience all the sights and sounds that the
movie allures. “Avatar” is the first movie of its kind and because of this it deserves a spot
in Disney’s Animal Kingdom park. Only with the support of our loyal guests can we
make this park a success. We encourage you to spread the news of this upcoming
mystical land and when it opens in 2017 bring all of your friends and family to share this
monumentous occasion together.
The Disney Company has worked very hard to obtain the rights to the Avatar
movie, and we are using all of our resources to make sure that this land lives up to the
great Avatar franchise expectations. We have spent billions of dollars on this project;
money is no object when the outcome heightens the enjoyment of our guests.
So next time you are with your friends having a nice meal or talking on the phone,
