Course Description: Examination of film as a 20th and 21st century art form. Considers foreign and domestic cinema
with attention given to film in terms of archetype, myth, symbol, characterization, and plot. Open repeatability.
Student Learning Outcomes: Upon completion of this course, the student will be able to: (1) Examine film as a 20th &
21st century art form; (2) Criticize foreign and domestic films; (3) Examine aesthetic categories of film; (4) Define the
literary development in modern times.

Recommended Supplies: Paper and writing supplies.
