Nepal Water for Health (NEWAH) is a national level non-government organization
(NGO) in Nepal working towards clean drinking water, hygiene promotion and
sanitation, has worked in 51 districts across the country serving over 1.4 million people.
Job Description for Technical Coordinator
Summary of the position
Responsible for coordinating and ensuring all technical aspects of new water supply,
Project maintenance or rehabilitation and water quality in the project within the NEWAH
program.
Line Manager
Reports to the Director
Job Responsibilities







To represent NEWAH in an official capacity at meeting and functions with the
program partner organization with government and other development
organizations in Engineering matters
To liaise with Regional Managers to ensure the integration of water supply
sanitation and health education in all projects
To prepare annual plans and budgets for the engineering component of the
program
To identify, design and implement training initiatives necessary to help meet the
objectives of the technical development.
To supervise the surveying, design, implementation and monitoring of all
construction activities.
Regular meeting with NEWAH’s senior management to discuss policies,
procedures and current issues.
To support on maintenance, rehabilitation and other new initiatives and
sanitation in the engineering matters.
Working Condition
Headquarter based with frequent Region and field visits.
Person’s specification





S/he should be Bachelor in civil engineering and at least five years of experience
in similar works (WASH)
Computer Knowledge - Word, Excel, Access and AutoCAD
Excellent communication skill in both English and Nepali
Able to supervise the team of Technical staff and their function
Analytical skill
