Located in Rosedale on Yonge Street just south
of St. Clair Avenue, Chi Spa offers a relaxing
environment in a cozy, quaint space. Each
treatment room is equipped with a colour therapy
lamp so the room diffuses the colour best suited to
each individual client. Each room also has its own
music source, so the music can be custom picked.

Facials
Striving for “perfect skin”? This involves not only
topical applications and maintenance, but is also
determined by balancing the internal system of the
body. Ask our highly trained estheticians to consult
with you on how to achieve this internal balance
during the course of the service.
Each facial includes a thorough consultation, your
own choice in music from our treatment room library,
your choice of aromatherapy blend, colour therapy
to intensify the long-term benefits of the facial, and
a daily skin care regime prescribed by our expert
estheticians.
Purifying Aromatherapy Facial (75 mins)
Enhanced by the intense penetrating properties
of essential oils, this facial includes exfoliation
of dead skin cell layers to smooth and enhance
cell regeneration, complete removal of impurities,
intensive face, neck, shoulder and scalp massage,
regenerating and purifying masque, and is completed
with moisture protection of eye and face.
Deep Cleansing Organic Facial (75 mins)
Experience Mother Nature at her best. Using
stimulating exotic spices and fruits from Eminence
Organic of Hungary, this facial will increase
circulation and exfoliate dry dehydrated skin, leaving
your skin smooth and detoxified inside and out. This
facial is suitable for all skin types because it is
customized for you.
Gentlemen’s Organic Facial (75 mins)
This is a real man’s facial using natural organic
products especially selected for a man’s skin and
individual needs. The treatment is excellent for
all skin types including those suffering from over
exposure to the sun. It uses the pulp of fresh apples
and grapes layered with Hungarian paprika to deeply
cleanse, exfoliate and detoxify the skin, followed by
a stone crop masque massage and rosehip to sooth
and re-hydrate the skin for a long-lasting look of
health and vitality.
Facials
Renewal Facial (75 mins)
A retexturizing treatment for dry or sun damaged
skin that eliminates fine lines and evens out skin
tone. Fresh pulps of apples, grapes and nasberries
to infuse natural fruit acid into the skin. Paprika and
other organic herbs to exfoliate and renew, leaving
the skin supple and younger looking. In addition
to intensive reduction of dead skin cells this facial
includes removal of t-zone impurities, a circulation
stimulating facial massage to improve oxygenation
of skin cells, a relaxing scalp, neck, and shoulder
massage, a pumpkin and orange masque or sour
cherry masque, leaving the skin glow and red.
Though immediate results are visible, a series of
6 treatments is recommended for maximum results
for certain skin types.
Anti-Aging Phytoestrogens Facial (75 mins)
A highly stimulating anti-aging treatment for all skin
types, this exquisite facial includes a lemon-lime
antioxidant gel, algae and natural phytoestrogens to
give skin clarity and increase circulation. As this is
a highly active masque, please note that it is normal
to experience a healthy rosy glow after treatment
leaving your complexion absolutely revitalized and
ready for a night on the town!
Four Layer Facial (90 mins)
Even the most sensitive skin will love this
nurturing gentle facial. Created from delicate fruit
and vegetables, this facial will calm, rejuvenates,
tones and firms the skin. This facial includes all
the usual steps in our other facials plus an extra
massage and then a cool stone crop masque,
followed by a menthol rosehip masque. The results
are impressive: younger looking skin with visibly
renewed moisture, tone, and an afterglow that lasts.
Your skin will be cleaner, healthier and radiant.
Recommended for all skin types.
Facials
Organic Yam & Pumpkin Enzyme Peel (45 mins)
Put your best face forward with this wonderful
new peel from Eminence Organic. Yams contain
vitamins A and C plus beta carotene. Pumpkin is
rich in enzymes and antioxidants. Glycolic and lactic
acids encourage cell growth and assist in lightening
‘brown spots’. Put all these together in a 100%
organic formula and you have an amazingly effective
peel that will refine and smooth the skin plus boost
collagen formation.
Maintenance Facial (45 mins)
Full Facial for most skin types are recommended
every 3 to 6 weeks however between that time,
some skins require extra attention in one area
whether it be dry flaking cheeks, forehead and chin
breakout or sallow, dull, greyish skin. A maintenance
treatment that entails cleansing, toning, a short
facial massage, a masque application and, to
complete the treatment, a hydrosol and moisturizer
application for your skin type to protect and hydrate
your non-glowing skin. Extraction of comedones and
blemishes requires extra time and extra preparation
for the skin, therefore this step is skipped in this
mini facial.
Eye Treatment (30 mins)
Available as a separate service or in conjunction
with any of the facial treatments, the eye treatment
is highly recommended and is an often overlooked
area that is just as important to maintain youthfulness. This treatment is designed to intensively
nourish the delicate skin tissue of the eye area,
which is subject to loss of elasticity due to constant
fluctuations of water retention in the underlying
area.
Facials
Microdermabrasion (60 mins)
The secret to flawless skin...a very effective
microdermabrasion procedure that exfoliates deeply
by utilizing a precise blast of fine mineral crystals.
Significantly reduces the appearance of fine lines
and wrinkles, acne scars, hyper-pigmentation, age
spots, sun damage, minimizes large pores and
promotes new cell growth. For best results, we
recommend a package of 6 to 10 treatments at a
minimum. This number of consecutive treatments
is necessary to achieve a complete turnover of the
skin. Each treatment consists of cleansing, toning,
a three-phase micro-exfoliation which includes the
full face and into the neck area, a hydrating serum,
a custom blended masque and moisturizer and
finishing with an application of organic sun defence
SPF 30.
Organic Back Purifying Treatment (45 mins)
A deep cleansing treatment much like a facial is
for the face. This treatment includes cleansing,
toning, application and rub down with an exfoliating
body scrub, warm wet heat source application,
removal of impurities by extraction, impurity draining
back massage followed by a soothing antibacterial
masque. Perfect for teens, sports enthusiasts,
brides or anyone with problem skin in this area.
Facial Manual Lymphatic Drainage (30 mins)
This gentle and relaxing massage may be booked
separately or in addition to enhance the effects of
any of the facial treatments. This service improves
elasticity, flushes toxin within the underlying dermal
and connective tissues, and promotes skin cell
regeneration.
Body Treatments
Body treatments are recommended for anyone
interested in relieving tension, detoxifying, increasing
circulation, revitalizing, and maintaining a silky,
youthful skin texture, reducing water retention or
slimming down. Using natural ingredients to enhance
health, these treatments have certain benefits when
applied professionally, such as eliminating excess
fluids trapped under the skin, detoxifying the entire
system, improving circulation and skin tone, and
combating cellulite and edema. All body treatments
include personalized aromatherapy, colour therapy,
and your choice of music.
Pure Flower Essence Body Wrap (60 mins)
A treatment designed to detoxify the body and
soften the skin. Essential oils have numerous
properties and target certain internal imbalances in
areas such as digestion, assimilation, and hormonal
activity that may alter our mind set. The essential
oils chosen will aid in rebalancing your system while
the scents they emanate will bring you to euphoria.
The treatment begins with a dry brushing, after
which the elixir of pure essential oils and other plant
oils are applied. The body is then wrapped in hot
linens to assist in further penetration of the oils and
boost the detoxification process.
Herbal Cellulite Wrap (90 mins)
Minerals from an underground thermal lake in
Hungary have been boiling and fermenting for
centuries, creating a highly potent blend of sulphur,
spring water and phytoestrogens. These elements
have been combined into an herbal mud masque
that is used to detoxify, purify and stimulate the
lymphatic system, releasing toxins and excess
fluids from the skin. The body is first dry brushed to
loosen dead skin debris, cleansed and treated to an
herbal masque and wrap. The body will get extremely
spicy as its circulation increases. Cool water will
rinse away all herbal extracts to reveal a firmer, more
even-textured skin. A highly effective and stimulating
treatment that can be done twice a week as part of
an ongoing program for long-term results.
Body Treatments
Peppermint Sea Twist (75 mins)
This toning treatment combines essential oil of
peppermint to stimulate, rejuvenate and purify the
skin. It improves circulation, making it an ideal
treatment for aching muscles or water retention.
It helps contour and firm skin tone, and because
it also stimulates the lymphatic circulation, it aids
in the reduction of cellulite. Emerge with a cool,
invigorating feeling.
Moor Mud Body Wrap (90 mins)
This relaxing and highly beneficial treatment begins
with a dry brushing of the entire body followed by
an application of warm thermal moor mud. Then you
will be wrapped in relaxing warmth, while receiving
a blissful scalp massage with heated plant and
flower essences. Thermal moor mud contributes to
detoxify and regenerate skin cells, aids in reduction
of inflammation and helps balance hormones.
Because it is astringent, it is excellent for peripheral
circulatory disturbances as well as a variety of other
ailments. After a warm shower, personally blended
warm essential oils are smoothed over the entire
body.
European Seaweed Body Treatment (90 mins)
Based on traditions of European Thalassotherapy,
fresh seaweed is warmed and then smoothed over
the body. Next, along with a warm thermal blanket
the treatment helps to relieve stress, invigorate
sore, stiff muscles and re-mineralize the skin. While
wrapped in warmth, enjoy a blissful scalp massage
with personally blended, heated essential oils.
A shower and a rub down complete the treatment.
The service is also recommended for slimming and
detoxifying the body.
Body Treatments
Honey Body Polish (60 mins)
A marvellous body cleanser made of honey and
crushed almonds based on an ancient beauty ritual.
Massaged into the skin, the almonds gently exfoliate
dead skin cells to purify the body, providing an
increase in oxygen while the nourishing properties of
honey lavishly replenish the new cells. After a warm
shower, a luxurious body moisturizer personalized
with your preferred blend of essential oils is applied,
leaving the skin silky and renewed. An optional 30 or
60 minute massage completes the treatment.

Self-Tan Application with Dr y Brushing (30 mins)
A safe and very effective alternative to UVA and
UVB exposure which can cause premature aging
and damage to the skin. This service begins with
a dry brushing exfoliation of the skin. St. Tropez, a
well-known Californian product, is then applied to
the smooth surface of the entire body. This unique
sunless tanner tans you instantly and will intensify
over the course of 3 hours for a streakless tan that
will last for days. For even darker results, apply
consecutively for 3 to 5 days, or until your desired
colouration is achieved. St. Tropez does not leave
an ‘orangy’ hue, unpleasant odour, and is easily
correctable if applied unevenly during home use.
Most clients find it simple to use at home. To
correct any minor streaks during home application,
simply wet streaked area and blend! St. Tropez
is available in 2 variations of darkness, a lighter
mousse and a darker lotion formula. Continue to
maintain your colour at Chi Spa or on your own by
applying 1-2 times per week. You will get the tan
that you want.
Massage Therapy
Massage therapy has numerous benefits such as
aiding in the healing of injuries, relaxation of taught
and tired muscles, improvement of lymph and blood
circulation, rebalancing of the body’s everyday
functions, and finally relieving mental stress caused
by factors in our lifestyles. Each massage at Chi
Spa includes the use of aromatherapy and colour
therapy. If a massage receipt is required for a health
care claim, please request a Registered Massage
Therapist (RMT) when booking your appointment.
Swedish Massage (30 mins, 60 mins, 90 mins)
A time for personal enrichment, therapeutic massage reduces stress, improves circulation and
restores balance to the mind and body.
Hot Stone Massage (60 mins, 90 mins)
Smooth stones and rich oils penetrate fatigued
muscles. The massage therapist glides heated
stones over large muscle groups with smooth
sweeping strokes. Heat and pressure ease muscle
tension and promote relaxation.
Pre-Natal Massage (60 mins, 90 mins)
Surrounded in comfort, every part of the body
supported, this massage is beneficial during all
stages of pregnancy. Specially designed with the
mother-to-be in mind.
Massage Therapy
Reflexology (30 mins, 60 mins)
This therapeutic treatment is recommended on
its own or in conjunction with any other service.
Different areas of the foot correspond to different
organs; when massaged, these reflex points improve
the function of the organs. Assimilation, digestion,
and circulation represent only a few of the functions
that will benefit from plantar reflexology.
Reiki Therapy (60 mins)
The body is an intricate machine that runs on energy
and requires balance from all the organs in order
to work efficiently. Everything around us is made of
different energy vibrations. Throughout the course
of our lives, we often develop a lack of harmony in
these subtle energy flows caused by outside
influences. When they need attuning, we can
use many of the universe’s tools to help us in
rebalancing them. In Reiki, the practitioner becomes
a conduit for those energies and can even direct
them where needed. During this treatment, the Reiki
practitioner assesses the energy levels through a
‘laying on of hands’ over sheets and redirects the
excess energy to deficiencies to balance the energy
and hence aid proper physiological functions. The
first treatment includes a consultation to familiarize
you with the treatment.

A true hand and foot care indulgence. Manicures
and pedicures are carried out in a specially designed
haven for privacy and comfort with your choice of
music enhanced by the use of essential oils and
colour therapy, your pedicure experience is the
epitome of comfort and luxury.

Waxing
Chi Spa offers effective hair removal that is safe
and ‘as gentle as possible’. Our estheticians may
use two different types of wax (hot wax or strip) to
achieve the best results in different areas. If you
have a preference of the type of wax, let us know at
time of booking.
Cautionary note: Please refrain from using waxing
if you use Retin-A, Accutane, or antibiotics as these
medications enhance skin sensitivity.
Spa Packages*
The special person that receives any one of our
gift certificate packages will never forget the bliss
they’ve experienced. We must warn you though,
they’ll probably come to expect it on every and any
occasion they can find on the calendar. Oh well, look
on the bright side, if you dislike shopping around for
gift ideas, your search is now over. “A la carte” gift
certificates are also available. Remember, the
recipient of the gift is also welcome to exchange
their gift certificate for other services dollar for
dollar, if they prefer. All spa packages include a
complementary lunch.
Essentials of Beauty (3 hrs 30 mins)
This package is a great pick me up. It includes a
60 minute aromatherapy massage, a purifying
aromatherapy facial, and a mineral rich manicure
and pedicure.
Mind, Body, and Soul (4 hrs 30 mins)
This treatment is definitely beauty-orientated with
special attention to relaxation and stress reduction.
It involves a variety of treatments beginning with a
pedicure and manicure which will sluff away dead
skin cells and improve the overall appearance of
the feet and hands. The day at the spa then moves
to the body in its entirety beginning with Honey
Body Polish, Deep Cleansing Organic Facial, and
to complete your time with us, a 60 minute
aromatherapy massage.
State of Bliss (5 hrs 30 mins)
This group of treatments will be sure to detoxify,
rebalance and maximize your body’s capability of
performing its everyday, vital functions with the
greatest efficiency. These treatments will also
ensure stress relief and leave you in a euphoric
state. The day includes a manicure and pedicure,
a Renewal Facial, a 60 minute aromatherapy massage with a 30 minute session of reflexology and a
Moor Mud Body Wrap.

Spa Etiquette
To ensure that you and those around you can relax
and enjoy the full benefits of Chi Spa, we kindly ask
that you keep these tips in mind.
Arrive Early
We ask that you arrive 15 minutes prior to your
scheduled appointment to allow for check-in
procedures and full consultation. Arriving early will
also ensure that your appointment can begin on
schedule. Should you arrive late, in consideration
for our next guest, your treatment still must end as
scheduled. Therefore, we may need to customize
your service to fit the remaining appointment time,
although the full service fee will continue to apply.
Cancellation Policy
We require a minimum of 24 hours cancellation
notice for all appointments. Cancellations made with
less than 24 hours notice are subject to the full
service fee. All appointments must be secured with
a valid credit card at time of booking.
Respect Other Guests
The environment at Chi Spa is one of tranquility and
relaxation. We thank you in advance for respecting
the right and privacy of other spa guests. Please
keep in mind that voices may carry into the
treatment rooms where other guests are receiving
services and be sure to turn off cell phones and
other electronic equipments.
We thank you for your cooperation, as do all our
guests who come to relax at Chi Spa and to step
away momentarily from the stress of everyday life.
Gift Certificates
Available in dollar denomination or for specific
spa services or spa packages, our beautifully
packaged gift certificate is the perfect gift for the
person that already has everything. Allot sufficient
time and please reserve your appointments in
advance, especially during peek seasons, Friday,
Saturday, and evening appointments. Gift
certificates are non-refundable and are valid for one
year from date of purchase (with exception of Gift
Certificates purchased in December which will expire
on December 1st of the following year).
