With all of our packages we will make every effort to provide you with the best value hunt possible.
We have designed these hunts with professional, friendly, reliable, personal service, giving you
the best opportunity of success, as we do wish for you to return. That is why this hunt comes with
our “guarantee”. If you are unable to take a Red Stag, Bull Tahr or Chamois, that is included in
your package, then you can return for a free hunt and just pay half the current trophy fee.
Upgrades on your Lilybank stag package
hunts are available, however we may have
to drive and/or fly to hunt a different area for
these stags.
Additions are available if you wish to add other
animals within the booked time frame. These
are calculated separately, over and above your
original contracted trip. For example, high
fence hunt for red stags, fallow, NZ wapiti,
elk, tahr, chamois, ram, goat or free range hunt
for stag, tahr and chamois can easily be added
to your hunt package, refer to our rates below
and website www.lilybankhuntinglodge.com.
Extensions are available for extra hunting,
shooting, fishing and/or touring, etc. If you
would like to consider this option and would
like more information, please indicate this
on your contract along with the number of
days you wish to add. Also please indicate
your preference for rental cars, activities,
attractions and accommodation.

Hunting usually starts with a short 4x4 drive
to the hunting area, then proceeds on foot for
most of the day with your guide. It pays to be
in reasonable shape as we may climb for 1 to
2 hours. Good leather boots and snow gaiters
are a must. Good optics of 10x42 binoculars
are also a must as we spend 50% of the time
glassing in the mornings and evenings for
stag and tahr then during the day for chamois.
Due to time and/or weather, a helicopter may be
used for tahr and chamois hunting if required.
Guides are all qualified, having been certified
at New Zealand Hunt’s Professional Hunting
Guides School. Our professional guides and
their assistants make up a team of the South
Island’s finest guiding experts. They can all
hunt, shoot, fish and walk the pants off of
anyone game enough to try, but they all take
a tremendous amount of pride in getting you
the best animals possible and enjoying what
New Zealand has to offer. By the end of your
trip, they will be just as proud of your trophies
as you are.
Firearms Choice. We recommend you use
our 7mm08s which are customer made for
shots up to 300 yards.
Note: Handguns or fully automatic weapons are
not allowed in NZ, semi-automatics are OK.
Licence and Stamps are required for bird
shooting and can be provided for you should
you require them. There are no big game tags
or licences for overseas hunters.

Bow Hunters and Primitive Weapons
Hunters. We can place you at strategic locations
and it is an option to take a helicopter into
the hunting area for tahr and chamois as this
gives you more time to hunt in prime country.

AIRPORT
are permitted one carry-on, in addition to a purse or
laptop, Premier and Business class offer more.
Arrivals. You will be met at Christchurch
Airport by NZ Hunt and transported to the Lodge
(3 hours by vehicle or 45 min by plane) where
you will return after your hunt.
