And Farm Books.” We will be focusing on parts of a book and how we read a book. NO LETTER of the week! Our focus will be comprehension question and making reading connections: Self to self, self to text and text to world SIGHT WORDS: Each week we will have four words to learn to recognize and read. Then on Friday we will take a sight word assessment. Each week we add to the word list for assessments. NO NEW SIGHT WORDS! REVIEW!!! Also ask us why we are learning a skill as I want them to become self learners! Important things about Kindergarten: We are ½ way through kindergarten…please take a good look at your child’s progress report card and let me know what questions you have. Also it is VERY important that I have 100% participation for Parent Teacher conferences, so please sign up. Graphing DMR and DLR……it is amazing to see how QUICKLY they learn and reach the 80% mastery. We have some areas to work on to make sure we are 80% or above. Any questions……1 more week in this grading period…… NWEA, DLR and DRM, Letters and Sounds, sight words, and so much more coming home in your child’s binders……..PLEASE REVIEW so you can see where your child’s current level of performance is at Continue working on addition and subtraction. Use the number lines that were sent home this week. We talk about addition is moving forward and our number is getting bigger. Subtraction is going backwards and our number is getting smaller.
