As The Deer
As the deer panteth for the water So my soul longeth after Thee
You alone are my heart's desire And I long to worship Thee
You alone are my strength my shield To You alone may my spirit yield
You alone are my heart's desire And I long to worship Thee
You're my friend And You are my brother Even though You are a King
I love You more than any other So much more than anything
I want You more than gold Or silver Only You can satisfy
You alone are the real joy-giver And the apple of my eye

From evil deliver Your children most dear.
For Yours is the kingdom; o’er all things You reign.
And Yours is the power; all things You maintain.
To you be the glory, resounding again
From all of creation, forever! Amen.

OFFERING SONG
THE OFFERTORY
“Give It All Away”
All of my plans all of my dreams I lay them down before Your feet
All of my time all that was mine I now submit to Your design (REPEAT)
'Cause You are the One Who can make my life complete
You are the One Who can give light to my feet
You are the One and only One Who dared to give it all away for me
You dared to give it all away for me
THE OFFERTORY PRAYER
P Merciful God,
C in the mystery of the Word made flesh you embrace our lives with your great
love for humanity. With joy and gladness we ask that these gifts may be for
many a sign of that love, and that we may continue to share in your divine life,
through Jesus Christ our Lord. Amen.
HOLY COMMUNION
7
Thus says the LORD: Sing aloud with gladness for Jacob, and raise shouts for the chief
of the nations; proclaim, give praise, and say,
8
See, I am going to bring them from the land of the north, and gather them from
the farthest parts of the earth, among them the blind and the lame, those with child and
those in labor, together; a great company, they shall return here. 9With weeping they
shall come, and with consolations I will lead them back, I will let them walk by brooks
of water, in a straight path in which they shall not stumble; for I have become a father to
Israel, and Ephraim is my firstborn. 10Hear the word of the LORD, O nations, and declare
it in the coastlands far away; say,
11
For the LORD has ransomed Jacob, and has redeemed him from
hands too strong for him. 12They shall come and sing aloud on the height of Zion, and
they shall be radiant over the goodness of the LORD, over the grain, the wine, and the
oil, and over the young of the flock and the herd; their life shall become like a watered
garden, and they shall never languish again. 13Then shall the young women rejoice in
the dance, and the young men and the old shall be merry. I will turn their mourning into
joy, I will comfort them, and give them gladness for sorrow. 14I will give the priests
4
P The Lord be with you.
C And also with you.
P Lift up your hearts.
C We lift them to the Lord.
P Let us give thanks to the Lord our God.
C It is right to give him thanks and praise.
P It is indeed right, our duty and our joy, that we should at all times and in all places
give thanks and praise to you, almighty and merciful God, through our Savior Jesus
Christ. In the wonder and mystery of the Word made flesh you have opened the
eyes of faith to a new and radiant vision of your glory, that beholding the God made
visible, we may be drawn to love the God whom we cannot see.
C Amen.
9
Through him all things were made.
For us and for our salvation he came down from heaven;
by the power of the Holy Spirit
he became incarnate from the virgin Mary,
and was made man.
For our sake he was crucified under Pontius Pilate;
he suffered death and was buried.
On the third day he rose again
in accordance with the Scriptures;
he ascended into heaven
and is seated at the right hand of the Father.
He will come again in glory to judge the living and the dead,
and his kingdom will have no end.
We believe in the Holy Spirit,
the Lord, the giver of life,
who proceeds from the Father and the Son.
With the Father and the Son he is worshiped and glorified.
He has spoken through the prophets.
We believe in one holy catholic and apostolic Church.
We acknowledge one Baptism for the forgiveness of sins.
We look for the resurrection of the dead,
and the life of the world to come. Amen.
THE PRAYERS OF GOD’S PEOPLE
(Lord in your mercy … Hear our Prayer)
their fill of fatness, and my people shall be satisfied with my bounty, says the LORD.
L This is the Word of the Lord.
C Thanks be to God.
PSALM 147:12-20
12
Worship the LORD, O Jerusalem;
praise your God, O Zion,
13
who has strengthened the bars of your gates
and has blessed your children within you.
14
God has established peace on your borders
and satisfies you with the finest wheat.
15
God sends out a command to the earth,
a word that runs very swiftly.
16
God gives snow like wool,
scattering frost like ashes.
17
God scatters hail like bread crumbs.
Who can stand against God’s cold?
18
The LORD sends forth the word and melts them;
the wind blows, and the waters flow.
19
God declares the word to Jacob,
statutes and judgments to Israel.
20
The LORD has not done so to any other nation;
they do not know God’s judgments. Hallelujah!

ernal salvation.
THE THANKOFFERING
3
Blessed be the God and Father of our Lord Jesus Christ, who has blessed us in Christ
with every spiritual blessing in the heavenly places, 4just as he chose us in Christ before
the foundation of the world to be holy and blameless before him in love. 5He destined us
for adoption as his children through Jesus Christ, according to the good pleasure of his
will, 6to the praise of his glorious grace that he freely bestowed on us in the Beloved. 7In
him we have redemption through his blood, the forgiveness of our trespasses, according
to the riches of his grace 8that he lavished on us. With all wisdom and insight 9he has
made known to us the mystery of his will, according to his good pleasure that he set
forth in Christ, 10as a plan for the fullness of time, to gather up all things in him, things
in heaven and things on earth. 11In Christ we have also obtained an inheritance, having
been destined according to the purpose of him who accomplishes all things according to
8
5
his counsel and will, 12so that we, who were the first to set our hope on Christ, might
live for the praise of his glory. 13In him you also, when you had heard the word of truth,
the gospel of your salvation, and had believed in him, were marked with the seal of the
promised Holy Spirit; 14this is the pledge of our inheritance toward redemption as God’s
own people, to the praise of his glory.
L This is the Word of the Lord.
C Thanks be to God.

THE HOLY GOSPEL: Matthew 2:1-12
Verse 2
1
In the time of King Herod, after Jesus was born in Bethlehem of Judea, wise men from
the East came to Jerusalem, 2asking, “Where is the child who has been born king of the
Jews? For we observed his star at its rising, and have come to pay him homage.”
3
When King Herod heard this, he was frightened, and all Jerusalem with him; 4and
calling together all the chief priests and scribes of the people, he inquired of them where
the Messiah was to be born. 5They told him, “In Bethlehem of Judea; for so it has been
written by the prophet:
”
7
Then Herod secretly called for the wise men and learned from them the exact
time when the star had appeared. 8Then he sent them to Bethlehem, saying, “Go and
search diligently for the child; and when you have found him, bring me word so that I
may also go and pay him homage.” 9When they had heard the king, they set out; and
there, ahead of them, went the star that they had seen at its rising, until it stopped over
the place where the child was. 10When they saw that the star had stopped, they were
overwhelmed with joy. 11On entering the house, they saw the child with Mary his
mother; and they knelt down and paid him homage. Then, opening their treasure chests,
they offered him gifts of gold, frankincense, and myrrh. 12And having been warned in a
dream not to return to Herod, they left for their own country by another road.

But Your glory is filling this place
