A converted Victorian terrace, Jesmond Road is on campus next to the main University Library, which incorporates a University catering outlet offering sandwiches, snacks and hot and cold drinks. Offers are sent over the summer when it’s likely you will no longer have access to this account • Add us to your e-mail safe-senders •You must complete your online application by 30 June to be covered by the guarantee (see page 22) Your preferences • You can choose up to 10 named residences – choosing the maximum number of residences will improve your chances of being offered one of your preferences • Remember that small residences will fill quickly, so look at the number of rooms offered at each accommodation • If you need a specific room allocation due to a disability or medical condition, including any hidden disabilities, include this in your application. You may not be offered the correct type of accommodation if you haven’t advised us of any requirements and we won’t have an alternative to offer at a later date www.ncl.ac.uk/accommodation Application submitted What happens next depends on the status of your offer to study. • Unconditional firm: some students will receive offers at the beginning of May. If you have not heard at this time, you should expect to receive an offer in mid-August onwards • Conditional firm: we cannot process your application until you receive your unconditional offer. If this is dependent on exam results, you will receive an offer within two weeks of receiving your results •Non-guaranteed: applications received after 30 June or via Insurance or during Clearing/ Adjustment will be processed from 1 September 2015 onwards Offer of accommodation • If you are allocated University-owned accommodation you will receive an e-mail asking you to log back onto the website to review the offer made to you online • If you are allocated Managed Partnership accommodation you will be sent an e-mail directing you to the company’s online system, so you can register and view/accept the offer made to you or you will receive an e-mail with several attachments to print and return (with a pre-payment if required) by the relevant deadline Accept the offer by the expiry date Failure to accept will result in the offer being withdrawn and the room given to another student.
