Sanctuary Choir Worship Service Participants Take no thought for your life, Take no thought for your life, what you eat, what you drink, what you wear. See the birds as they fly, they do not sow or reap, But the hand of the Father cares for them (the hand of God). See the flowers in the field, they do not toil or spin, But their beauty is beyond compare. Take no thought for your life, But rejoice in the Lord, Let ev’ryone know of your caring. The Lord is near. Don’t worry about anything, But with thankfulness, pray about ev’rything! And the peace of God in Christ will dwell in your heart. Good News ♦ By statement of your prior Baptist membership. David Banda (8:30) Abby Bustamante (11:00) Now I rejoice in what was suffered for you, and I fill up in my flesh what is still lacking in regard to Christ’s afflictions, for the sake of his body, which is the church. I have become its servant by the commission God gave me to present to you the word of God in its fullness—the mystery that has been kept hidden for ages and generations, but is now disclosed to the saints. To them God has chosen to make known among the Gentiles the glorious riches of this mystery, which is Christ in you, the hope of glory. We proclaim him, admonishing and teaching everyone with all wisdom, so that we may present everyone perfect in Christ. To this end I labor, struggling with all his energy, which so powerfully works in me. Anthem ♦ By transfer of membership from another Baptist church. We will gladly request the letter. Phases of Worship PRAISE From the overflow of the heart, the mouth speaks…we offer our praise as our first response to God’s movement in our lives and in our world. REFLECTION This part of our worship offers us different avenues of introspection where we can contemplate our relationship with God: listening for God’s voice in our ears, looking for God’s hand at work in our world, and feeling God’s presence in our lives. RESPONDING Being still, having the opportunity to reflect on God’s presence in our lives, calls for a response. God’s offer of Grace and Love stands before us and we must decide what we will do. SENDING OUT We encourage you to join the current of God’s movement in our world. There are many outlets of expression for your faith within the programs and missions endeavors of our community and we invite you to join us as we leave, transformed in God’s image to Reflect Christ’s Light and Grow God’s Kingdom.
