The Department of Electrical and Computer Engineering at Iowa State University invites applications for a tenure-track or tenured faculty position in the area of power and energy systems engineering, power electronics, or electric machines at the Assistant, Associate, or Full Professor ranks to begin in 2015 (www.ece.iastate.edu). Successful candidates will teach undergraduate and graduate courses, (primary focus on power and energy systems/power electronics/electric machines engineering); mentor and engage undergraduate, as well as prospective students; develop and sustain externally-funded research; engage with industry via the ISU Electric Power Research Center (EPRC) and the Power Systems Engineering Research Center (PSERC); supervise and mentor graduate students; and engage in professional and institutional service and leadership. Candidates must hold an earned Ph.D. or equivalent degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, or a closely related field on or before the hire date. Candidates for the ranks of Associate or Full Professor must, in addition to the above, demonstrate an excellent record of funded research and internationally recognized scholarship.
